Calling home the foothills of the Smokey Mountains in Northeast Tennessee, Trease entered the world with her traveling shoes on. Brought up as a rug rat in the US Air Force, she journeyed throughout the US every 3-5 years, including family vacations.
Her parents encouraged and nurtured her love for travel and photography. The writing came later. Trease loves books, collects rocks and mugs, enjoys writing and blogging about anything travel-related... all her aerial-photographer dad and writer mom instilled in her.
Trease also wrote the "Across the Fence" Thursday portion of the column for the Kingsport Times-News for 5 years. She also uses a prosumer, or bridge 16 megapixel Fujifilm Finepix S8650 camera with 36 x optical zoom. Another favorite she uses is her point-and-shoot 10 megapixel Olympus Stylus 1010 camera for shooting through glass, shooting fireworks displays or special cuisine shots.
Don't laugh, but Trease also gets some fantastic shots from her Samsung Galaxy J3V 8 megapixel camera... hey there are other pros who shoot with their cellphones every now and then. So get on board with the Southern Fried Travel Magical Mystery Travel Tour and enjoy the ride to new locales.
